Work for the Global Gender Forum

GGP sponsors many public events through the Global Gender Forum speaker series and often needs help organizing and setting up. If you are a qualified work study student at the George Washington University and would be interested in interning with GGP email ggp@email.gwu.edu with your interest.

Social media

Send us news updates:
Did you discover an interesting news article or other source that addresses contemporary gender issues? We want to constantly feed content to our Facebook, Twitter, global.gender.current blog, and Global Gender Update. Please send along any interesting news articles, blog posts, announcements, or other exciting and important gender items:

  • Link to it on our Facebook page
  • Send it to ggp@email.gwu.edu or tweet to @globalgender
  • Write a blog post about it: We are always seeking informed writing for our blog: global.gender.current. If possible, please include a few pictures for us to chose from, but make sure you find it on Flickr Creative Commons or Wikimedia Commons. Also include a 2-3 sentence mini bio of yourself. Several options exist for a guest/student post:
    1. Write a guest or student post about a gender-related event
Did you just attend an event that highlighted gender issues? Write up a blog post! There are many different angles you can write from: discuss highlights, raise questions, or examine what was significant. No exact word limit.

    2. Write a blog post connected to a current event, op-ed style
No exact word limit. Keep it short and punchy.

    3. Write a research-based blog post
Did you just do a class research project on gender issues? Consider preparing an annotated bibliography or a shortened version of a research-based term paper.
See an example of an annotated bibliography.
    4. Write a "From-the-field" blog post (including photo essays)
If you are studying abroad, doing an internship, or in some other situation in which you have gained experiences related to global gender issues, please write an essay-style blog about them.
